WHO I HELP
Job Seekers
People Who Want Help Navigating the Complex World of Finding and Applying for Jobs
I work with people of all ages who would like guidance in how to write a compelling resume and LinkedIn profile that positions them for success, how to avoid wasting time on job search practices that don’t work (including endlessly posting resumes on job boards hoping for a response), how to network in a way that feels authentic and natural, and how to excel at job interviewing.
New Grads and Young Professionals
I work with a lot of young people who are trying to figure out what they want to do career-wise, what skills and unique qualities they have that are marketable, and how to—as mentioned above—navigate the often daunting and complex world of job searching.
I have also worked with managers and HR professionals over the last twenty-plus years around issues related to employee engagement and how to create a workplace that brings out the best in employees. I bring this knowledge to my career coaching with new grads and young professionals on what they can do to be an “candidate of choice” and a “dream employee” once they are hired.
Career Changers
I also work with a lot of career changers at various stages of their career, from young people who discover that the career they thought they wanted in college isn’t what they imagined and want to find something that is a better fit, to those in mid-life who are ready to do work that is more meaningful and soul-satisfying. In our work together, we explore what works for them in a job and workplace environment and what doesn’t, what transferable skills and strengths they possess and what positions and careers these would be a good fit for, and how to communicate these in a clear and compelling way.
With a long background in the field of resilience, I also help career changers bolster their ability to face the change, challenge, and uncertainty that comes with career change, with courage, confidence, and optimism.
